| Notes
| NGC6946 (Caldwell 12) is a member of the Coma-Sculptor Cloud of galaxies. This face on spiral galaxy has the distinction of hosting a large number of recorded supernovae explosions in the 20th century (in 1917, 1939, 1948, 1968, 1969 and 1980). Juxtaposed with the bright open cluster, NGC 6939, the pair make for an interesting wide field image. |
